has anyone had their data simply go missing

A few months ago I updated my Windows ME and all my data in Outlook went
missing. Couldn't even get it back in the archived file. Sometimes when I
begin entering an address in an email address field, Outlook finishes it off
for me even though I haven't re-entered it into OUtlook's contacts list. This
is wierd. Anyone else have this problem?

Missing in what way? Do you still have your pst-file?

The name suggestion is not based on your contacts folder but on addresses
you've used before. It's a cache.
