header and footer disappear from template

Hello all!

I have a word 2003 protected template.
Everyone is allowed "Read Only"

I have the company logos in the header and footer.

Over the logo in the header I have a frame with 3 form fields for clients to
type their name, title and contact.
That way we have a general form that can then be personalized.

If the users type in the document or the fields all works well.

If they were to copy all the text in one word document and paste it into the
template file, the header and footer logos disappear.

Experimented with the picture format properties but still no luck.

Has anyone seen this before?

If you need more background info on the template let me know.

Tell them to exclude the final paragraph mark ¶ in the document from what
they copy and paste, and when they paste, make sure that they do not have
the final paragraph mark in the target document selected. The header and
footer information is stored in the final pararaph mark.
