HELP - ANY way to delete mail from inbox without selecting it?

Please help. Weird emails that virus scan, etc not picking up but if I so
much as go NEAR it, my computer crashes. Is there a way to delete emails
without selecting them in any way?

Try using the arrow key to navigate to it and press Shift+Delete to
permanently delete it.

Don't use the Preview pane. Or use the webmail interface to your
account to delete your e-mails at the server.
