Help for a teacher

I am a middle school teacher trying to come up with a word document that I
can use all the time. I want to be able to print a homework slip for my
students that they can take home and get signed each night, but I dont want
to have to type in the date and homework assignment each time. I was hoping
I would use a field to insert the date and assigment from either a data base
or whatever else is easy. I have done this previously with MS Works but using
Word and Access is beyond me.

The basic design im trying to do is this:

Name __(student write in) ________________ Date (field for date)

Todays Assigment is (field for homework assignment)

Parents Signature ____________________

I would like to print 6 to 8 of these per page.

Actually, you could/can use a word merge....

However, ms-access would well allow you to build a report, and several of
these could display on one page.

So, you *can* use word, and merge from your access database, but you will
likely find it just as easy to build
a report.

Simply build a report based on the students table. Use the sorting and
grouping to set the order you want (by lastname, or perhaps first name...or
even perhaps by assignment, or class).

So, just layout a report...and size it so you get about 6-8 per page...

I also do have a super easy word merge for ms-access here:

I would try building a report....
