help on copy/cut/paste macro

Bina

This may be the stupid question but, I have a situation
where I have file with current date in footer. My file
should be modified only by one or two people. Basically, I
want to restrict other user to copy/cut/paste from that
file. Is it possible in word through macro or there's no
need to create macro.

Thanks for you help.

If I have access to the file content, I can copy/paste all I want, even if
you try some complicated protection scheme.
The "paste into" the file is easier to prevent, but the "copy from" is
impossible.

IMHO, your best bet is to password-protect the opening of the file, so If I
am not allowed to modify it, than I cannot even open it. That is difficult
to bypass (but not impossible given the knowledge and the time). Then create
a PDF from the file. With Acrobat you can do what you want without too much
difficulty. But remember that all this is based on password protection...
which means it can eventually be cracked!
