For quite some time I avoided visual basic for use with Macros.
However, I then found a couple of helpful articles in The Journal of
Accountancy. Therefore, I decided to play around with visual basic a
bit to see what I could do with it. I have created an example file
which I hope will help others learn visual basic.

Visual Basic and Macro Examples File.xls
I will post this file on my Yahoo group. On this Yahoo Group I have
created the following folders:

For fellow travelers in the accounting field, in this
group I will post summaries of articles from The CPA
Journal (http://www.cpaj.com/)
The Journal of Accountancy
(http://www.aicpa.org/pubs/jofa/)
and magazines from Electronic Accountant
(http://www.webcpa.com/)
I can strongly recommend a public library card.
Remember that library databases will give you access
to the Wall Street Journal and many accounting
magazines.
Currently links to the following library systems
appear:
C/W Mars (the Worcester area and other, central MA)
Minuteman (Norwood and Medford, among others)
Old Colony (Quincy, Milton, others)
Sails Network (towards the southeast, area noted for
whaling)
Boston Public Library
This will help us stay abreast of events and
developments. Feel free to ask questions (though I
cannot at all guarantee answers) or to do summaries
yourself. Jobsearch tips/leads/issues are also
welcome.
