How do I assign Resources based on the Quantity of work?

I have some volume of work (say 4000m3 of Excavation work). I want to assign
the resources as listed below.
For each 200m3 of Excavation, I need Excavator - 1No, Dump Truck - 2 Nos,
Labour - 10 Nos and so on.
I want to input the list of resources for 200m3 of the excavation work and
let the required resources for total volume (4000m3) be calculated by the
Microsoft Project itself and assign automatically to the selected tasks. Is
it possible in the MSP-2003? Can anybody advice me how?

Hi,

Project natively doesn't have this function.
You can program a VBA procedure to do it or even program it in Excel and
paste the result but Project itself can't do this.
