How do I automatically file sent items in the Inbox

My Sent Items folder is huge (because I am not good about filing the
items in it) but I am pretty good about filing and deleting items from
my Inbox. Is there a way to have items that I send automatically go to
the Inbox instead of the Sent Items box?

Your Inbox should not be used for storage. After reading, messages that you
want to keep should be moved to other folders that you create to classify
them.

Yes. Disable the option to save sent messages and create a rule that will
copy the sent message to the Inbox upon sending.
