How do I change the color of text in a Gantt?

I'm trying to highlight specific individual text in a Gantt Chart. I found
help to change the color of bars and milestones, but no help to change the
color of text assigned to the bar.

First, you can't change font color for individual tasks, however, you can
change the formatting for styles of text.

Go to Format / Text Styles
Select Item to Change (i.e. - Bar Text - Right) and set the formatting you
wish to display in the Gantt.

Remember, this will reformat ALL items.

Hope this helps.

yes, you can format text on the right different from the left, however, all
the text displayed on the right is changed. You can't the text on the right
of task 7 red while the text to the right of every other task is black.

Unless I'm missing something, which is always possible.

Dave,
Not entirely true. A separate text color can be applied depending on
where the text is in relation to the Gantt Bar. Although it may not be
convenient in bum17's case, he could set a different color for the text
in front of the bar for example, and then use that to highlight
individual text which could be placed in a spare text field.

Dave,
No you're not missing anything other than perhaps an "outside of the
box" approach. If the text on the right is red, all the text on the
right is red. However what I was suggesting is a little different. I
suggested that the tasks bum17 wanted to highlight could have an entry
in a spare text field. I suggested a spare text field so he/she could
enter special text that was not dependent on other text for the task
(e.g. Task Name). Then set the color of text on one side of the Gantt
bar to whatever highlight color is desired and display the contents of
the spare text field on that side. Only those tasks that have an entry
in the spare text field will show the highlighted color.

The bottom line is it can be done, but . . . the method I suggest may
not be convenient.

John,
Are you able to give me step by step instructions to do that in as much as it is not convenient?
