how do I decrease the row height

I'm using project2000 and am trying to decrease the row height. I have tried "select all" and then using the mouse move the row height to make it low. The bar moves seems to move up but the decrease size does not take effect. Any ideas on how I can override the default height I'm getting

Hi Chris,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

The default minimum height is governed by the height of a Gantt bar and the
font size of the text. Change the latter via Format/Text Styles...( you can
type in a minimum of size 4) and the former through Format/Layout.../Bar
height (minimum size 6 allowing a font size 4 to fit inside - if you can
read it!).

Thanks. After changing the sizes I still was not getting the size I wanted but that led me to see what my problem was
I had put text on top of the gnatt bar and so was forcing the size to be doubled.
