How do I delete item already began transmitting?

A file too large is stuck in my outbox. It won't allow anything else to send
and I don't know how to delete it because microsoft is already trying to
transmit it. HELP!

Put Outlook into offline mode. Exit Outlook. Reload Outlook. Delete
the item. Put Outlook into online mode.
