My mailbox says its to capacity and I'm trying to clean it up but it won't
let me delete. What can I do?

"folder is full". That is trying to delete from inbox to deleted folder.

Try a shift-delete instead (after you make sure to save any attachments you
want).

Well, like I told the other person, try shift-delete, but, could you give
some more info like the actual error messages you are getting, what you are
doing to get the errors, what type of server and what version of Outlook?
I've never seen the text 'to capacity' in any error message, so that sort
of info might help us understand.

Also, where is your mail located - in a PST file, IMAP or Exchange Server?

As for me, it is 2007. It is on my home computer.

The first thing I did was to archive all deleted files. I got a warning
that says "the messaging interface has returned an unknown error. if the
problem persists, restart Outlook" error so I had to uninstall 2007 and
resinstall 2003. I got them all archived and then put 2007 back on.

I started to get the small window that opened that said "folder is full"
when I tried to delete larger e-mails. Now it is every e-mail. There is
never a error code or anything else.

Shift Delete will work a couple of times but I do not want to delete for
good. After 4 Shift Deletes I get the warning that says "the messaging
interface has returned an unknown error. if the problem persists, restart
Outlook".

I am not sure about the PST file. I have looked for it but I can not fild
it anywhere.

What do you guys think?

Since you've been changing versions of Outlook, it's recommended you start
with a new mail profile.
