How do I keep a transparent wordart transparent thruout printing.

I am working in Publisher and have a wordart that I have made transparent.
However, when I print it, it prints in full color although it shows
transparent on the screen. I have Canon printers.

By default, WordArt's background is transparent. Is it the wording that is
printing full color? Are you filling the WordArt with *No Fill?*
