How do I place WordArt on Top of a line?

How can I get my WordArt to sit on top of my line so that the line runs
underneath it? When I choose "send to the back" on the Arrange menu, the
line completely disappears. This is probably a simple fix. Anyone ?

What kind of a line do you mean? Just a "plain old" drawing-type line?

What version Publisher are you using?
Is the WordArt simple straight across?
If you are trying to put it on a curved line or a line that follows the text in the
WordArt, you will have to draw the line manually with the line tool in autoshapes.
Draw the line, right-click, edit points until you have the line the way you want it.

Yes. I drew a box with four lines, and inserted Word Art on top of it. But
the letters, when they hit the lines, disappear underneath it.

I can put lines on top of or underneath Word Art so, assuming I am
understanding you, it can be done. Which version of Publisher are you using?

:

Make the Word Art frame transparent.

If it is a rectangle, not drawn lines, give it no color.

Publisher 2003. The line doesn't follow the text. It's a box-like shape, and
I have the Word Art placed in it, but the text comes out over the lines.
That's where I want the lines to run underneath it.

Have you tried moving the box to the back or moving the Word Art to the
front? (I can do it so I'm not sure why you are having issues.)

I have no idea what you are trying to do. Select the WordArt, copy, paste special as
a Windows Metafile, now try to place it in, on your line...
