twice i have recieved a CRC (cyclic redundancy Check) error when trying to
move a file into a folder in one of my pst files. it happened once on two
different .pst's. Is there a way to recover from that error? Both times I
had to crete a new .pst and crete all new folders. Could not copy any of my
messages from the old pst into thte new one.

In genral this refers to harddisk errors. Run chkdsk /f to check it for
errors. Also check your Event Log for (disk) errors. If all is finished run
scanpst.exe against your pst-file and try again.
