How do I set up 7 days a week in Project?

I am using Project simply to set up a schedule, I don't care about resource
loading. I try and setup a new base calendar, change the weekends to
non-default working times and change the project to that calendar. But when
I try to start a task on a Saturday, it automatically makes that task start
on the next Monday. HELP!

Once you've set your base calendar up you need to apply this to the tasks
within your project, insert the column "Task Calendar" in the Gantt Chart
view, change this to the base calendar you have created & you'll be able to
enter the dates you want.

Assuming you want to apply your new base calendar to all tasks in the
project, choose Project > Project Information and select your new base
calendar from the Calendar drop-down.

If you want to apply the new base calendar to only selected tasks, you may
follow KRL's advice.

Additionally, if you are assigning resources to the tasks (not sure exactly
what you mean when you say that you 'don't care about resource loading'),
you will need to go into the resource sheet and change all of the resources'
base calendars and these do not automatically change when you choose a
calendar other than standard under project / project info.
