how do you send new mail

In my outlook 2003. If I type in the first couple letters of a name in an
address book a scroll down box appears and allows me to select a contact for
the address. How do i get the same thing in outlook 2000.

1.. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2.. Click E-Mail Options.
3.. Click Advanced E-Mail Options
When sending a Message, Suggest names while completing.

Thank you david. That works for outlook 2003 , im trying to get it to work
for outlook 2000. Can anyone help.

You don't. That's called autocompletion and wasn't introduced until Outlook
2002.
