How to get planned hours from a project plan

I am using Microsoft office Standard project 2003.
Is it possible to get planned hours from start of the project till a certain
point of time.
Ex if the project had started on 1st of Jan 2006 and say i want to know what
is the total planned hours as of 31st Jan are.

I am looking the hours something like planned Value in EV report.
I tried lot but wasn’t able to find it.
Would be great-full if someone can help me on this

To get planned hours from the start of a project until a certain time go to
the task usage view. On the right side (the timephase side) insert the
Cumulative Work field. This will show you how many hours of planned work
there is up to a certain date.
