How to insert an image directly from a scanner into a message?

Is it possible to insert an image directly from the scanner into an outlook
message without having to first create an image, name it and save it, and
then insert the file?

I have an Epson RX500 which does support faxing a document to my email
program. I do not know about other printers.
I suggest check out the software that came with your scanner; the
documentation will tell you if you can scan to email.

Thank you but i do not what to scan into my email i what to scan photos into
my computer, and the epson scanner spoftware has stop working now work fine
up to last week? Have upgraded to norton internet security 2005 from norton
antivirus 2002 and norton firewall 2002 + run spyware + windows updates+
defrag. but have now done system restore + reinstall all epson software and
reloaded norton all is now working!!!!! but do not konw why it stop so could
stop work at any time???? ******computers thank you for you help. prm7
