There's multiple ways.
1.) What comes closest to what you are used from Word:
"Insert | Pictures | From Files ..."
Navigate to the place where the images are stored and select the wanted
file.
2.) In the Windows Explorer select the wanted file and put into ON with
drag+drop.
3.) Open the file in a picture managing/editing tool (f.e. Windows
Photogalery or IrfanView or what is your favorite,
use cop+paste to put it into ON.
4.) Furthermore you can print any image into ON using the "Send to
Onenote" printer driver.
