How can I put an ultimatum into the excel database?

Example: putting a date ( 01 25 06 ) and today's date ( 10 26 05 ) and get
an ultimatum by substraction of them ( date - today's date ) to get a cell
which makes appear how many days are left????

Can you help me ?? Is it possible?
