The request for a "cheat sheet" seems to be an admission
that you are new to Publisher and that you do not have any
type of manual/book. You are definitely correct in
assuming that the first step is to read the instructions.
But how can you blame any program for your failure to buy
and read a book for a program of which you are unfamiliar?
Same holds true for a new DVD Player/Recorder, etc.
The second assumption I see in your reply is that
Publisher is quite capable of some heavy functions. True
again. It is quite capable of taking a plain, dull looking
brochure and converting it to a beautifully impressive
communication tool. But again, any program is just a set
of instructions waiting for a knowlegeable human being to
tell it what to do.
BTW--I owned a print shop in the days before inexpensive
laser printers and easy-to-use desktop publishing tools. I
find Publisher quite a good tool. Yes, the first edition I
bought, I also bought a book to get me over the hurdles of
ignorance.
