I lost the disk cover that the Microsoft Office 2000 Small Business program
disk that contained the key numbers needed to open the program. Is there any
way of retrieving the numbers or openning the program without the key
numbers. I have the program on the computer but unable to open it

Why don.t you use some common sense and stop treating people like you
personal whipping post. They make key finders don't they? So not only is
your answer obnoxious it is wrong.

Run Belarc Advisor, if you have the computer that Pub is installed on Belarc
will reveal the keys.

Is it the product key (XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX) or the product ID
(long string of numbers)?

I know that, but I thought I'd give the URL anyway. It is a good item to have in
one's inventory.

It doesnt end with a 53 it ends with 02803, but I think you guys are right
as I now notice other programs list the key afterwards... as: (Key:
xxxxx...etc). And Pub 2000 does not.

Sorry for erroneous postage.

.....would the key be stored in the registry somewhere then...I would think?
