Icannot receive email on Outlook.

I am unable to receive email on Outlook. Email is going to my Yahoo address
but not Outlook which is my primary. I have checked and rechecked my
settings. I have re entered them. I have run tests to make certain
everything is correct. I still cannot receive email on Outlook. Surely
someone out there has the answer since I see that hundreds of us have the
same problem. Why can't I find one answer that makes any sense?

Primary what?
I have checked and rechecked my
settings. I have re entered them. I have run tests to make certain

And what might those be?

Have you a paid-for yahoo account? if not, (unless you have a yahoo uk
account), you CANNOT use Yahoo mail with Outlook without third-party
software.

I am unable to receive email on Outlook.

Is WHICH version of Outlook that you use going to remain a secret?
Email is going to my Yahoo address
but not Outlook which is my primary.

Your primary WHAT? Outlook is an e-mail client, not an e-mail
account, like your Yahoo Mail account. Is there some OTHER e-mail
account that you are trying to poll using Outlook?
I have checked and rechecked my settings. I have re entered them.
I have run tests to make certain everything is correct.

If it was, and everything else that affect your network traffic was
"correct", then you would be getting your e-mails from whatever
account it is. If you don't want to receive responses that duplicate
what you have already tried, you should actually mention WHAT you
tried. Vague questions beget vague responses.
I still cannot receive email on Outlook. Surely

The same symptom does not equate to the same problem. You never
mentioned whether or not there is an error when you perform a mail
poll. So is there an error? If so, don't describe it, don't
summarize it, but show it in its entirety (copy-n-paste or transcribe
verbatim).
Why can't I find one answer that makes any sense?

And that means something to anyone else than you? We would know what
"answers" you looked at before? I doubt you want us critiquing your
expertise to do research.

WHICH version of Outlook?
WHAT is the error message?

Ozark Mama,
I have seen posted in another MS newsgroup, that there is an issue with some
Yahoo mail servers, that handle AT&T accts. If you ISP is AT&T, and it uses
Yahoo for its mail service, you will need to contact AT&T, and complained to
them. Especially if you did not change any settings in outlook, and it work
previously. Even if you don't have an AT&T acct, but have a paid Yahoo acct
using another ISP, I would complain anyway, to your ISP, since you are
paying for the service.

I don't know if you are male or female, but you are extremely rude. I may be
ignorant about computer useage, but I don't need to be talked "down" to. If
I knew what I was doing, I wouldn't need to come here for assistance. Thank
goodness there are some people out there who care. Thank you k1ngr for your
kind help. I hope you never have to rely on VANGUARD for assistance.

It's called being condescending, as in descending to the level of
intelligence exhibited by the poster.

talked "down" to.

Then don't write like a child.
If I knew what I was doing, I wouldn't need to come here for
assistance.

And if you wanted detailed or focused response then why ask vague
questions? This medium has you compose message, not blurt out
questions because of some time limit. Knee jerk posts get knee jerk
responses.
Thank goodness there are some people out there who care.

Yes, some are more willing that others to proffer wild ass guesses
based on little or no details.
I hope you never have to rely on VANGUARD for assistance.

I hope that your children learn to compose with better details,
especially since writing is a practiced art rather than learned from
imitation.

Yeah, focused responses from a vague question, sure, like that will
work.
