Import/Export vs. Copy pst

Ken Isaacson

What's the difference between importing/exporting a pst vs. just copying it.

Goal is to move it to desktop to laptop, as well as to save it in a secure
place, as in external HD.

Thanks.

The export/import process ignores Rules Wizard rules, customized views, and
custom forms. You'll lose all those. COpying is much better.

Good to know.

Now, if I do move the file, and tell Outlook to open it, I end up with two
sets of "Personal Files." The one that OL "automatically" created, and my
migrated pst.

How do I make my moved pst into the "real" pst?

Thanks.
