I can't find the import xport, helps tells you to go to tile then import but
that bad boy is not there. All I want to do is bring mail and addresses into
a new profile, how do I do this.

If its a pst data file then you niether Import or Export, unless you wish to
maybe lose data
In OL, File>Open>Data File....browse to location of the data file

That answers my question however my primary problem is when I open OL it
crashes again and again until I am about to give up. I created another
profile and want to import addresses and I can live without the rest of the
info because I am doing quite well with Thunderbird even though I enjoy using
OL 2007 for all the features it offers us. If you can will you please inform
me how to import the address book from OL 2007 into this new3 profile.

Thanks

OL doesnt have an address book, it uses Contacts allthough, on mail screens
it may be refered to as an OL address Book
The Contacts are contained in the OL data file - the *.pst file -
I'm assuming OL no longer crashes, but has an empty data file?

If so, use scanpst.exe the repair tool on your existing (old) *.pst file -
you should run it several times
Assuming it runs fine then in OL File>Open>Data File.......locate your old
pst.

You then have a number of options, one of which is to copy data from old to
new pst.
You may have to check properties of the new Contacts Folder & select, use as
an email address book.

No it still crashes and I have to open OL in safe mode in order to work on it.

If Outlook works in safe mode, that's indicative of an add-in that's not
compatible with Outlook.
