Hi there
As a new user to InfoPath I plan to construct a InfoPath-Form, which is
connected to a SQL Server 2000 in the LAN:
I would like to have a solution, where I can input and retrieve customers
and prices directly in a (InfoPath-)bill-form, and all data should finally
be stored into the SQL Server 2000.
(Of course the form must be printed later for each customer)
Is this possible without Visual Studio?
I quickly saw the possibility, to create a new form, which will be connected
to a DataBase-Connection.
On the other hand I discovered the form-templates, which are displayed right
at the beginning since SP1:
I think, such a template should be updated, that the form contains the
desired customer data retrieved from SQL Server. How can I "convert" such a
template, to fit to my needs?
How do I realise a first simple solution, to get the described result? As
you see, my goal is not really a connection to a "web service".
If ever: Is there a good online-tutorial, which covers just this topic?
(Fell free to tell me, if the problem fits better to be solved in Access as
the frontend.)
Thanks a lot for your hint.
Regards
Patrick
