inserting picture into an oval or a circle

Can anyone tell me how to transfer a digital image into a
shape other than square or rectangular? I can impose a
circle on my picture, but I can't make the part that hangs
out disappear. joyce

Use a QuickShape/AutoShape and then RIGHT click and select > Format Auto
Shape > Colour > Fill Effects > Picture and you are on your way to freedom.
