layout guide changes

Very happy that Pub03 got rid of the hatching that appeared around selected
text boxes. That was a major pain as you could not accurately 'see' where
you were when moving a text box.

However, another change is not so welcome. Up to 02 there was an an extra
line inside the layout quides. The guide was in blue and the extra line
inside was red and about 1/8 inch inside. Is there any way of getting it
back? I've looked in options and customize and have not been able to find
it. Of course, help is of no help.

Thanks

I would guess most folks hated the pink and blue lines. How refreshing someone wants
them back!
I don't think they will ever return. Sorry about that.

I thought it was that many people found them too confusing (what are the
blue lines for??-type questions)

I've wanted them back since the beta.

Neither do I :-(

It's still there...just not by default. Go to Arrange > Layout Guides > Grid
Guides Tab. When you add rows or columns, the pink guide can be added by
clicking on the Add Center Guide between Columns and Rows.

With the usual warning that it will NOT add it back around the edge of the
page, so it is not really still there at all in that case.

In "that" case.
