Layout Guides Hidden

P

publisher newbie

hi all

have another question on layout guides :
why is it that my guides are hidden under objects with solid fills?
is there any way to show the guides over solid fill objects?

You can hide the images. View, pictures, hide pictures. You can create a line that
snaps to the guideline that will show up in front of the image.(don't forget to
delete it when you go to print).

Hi,

You can see the guides on top of the object if you click and hold them, then
it will on top.

This is only the case with Ruler Guides, and then they are only visible
while you drag them.

I cannot under any circumstances drag Layout Guides

Go to View > MasterPage and you can drag the layout guides.

Hi,

Use layout guides for a consistent format across a document, this is why you
can move or change them on the master page only (Publisher 2003), hide the
picture (if any) to see the layout.
If you want some flexibility with your guides use the ruler's guides, which
you can drag easily. If you want to see the guide on top of an object, then
select the guide and hold, you will see it on top of the object/picture.
