Hi all

This is probably a very stupid question but I can't find an answer. With the
layout guides what is the difference between the pink and the blue lines?

any help appreciated

Hi Brian

Thanks for the link it was useful reading but it still doesn't fully explain
the difference. Why have blue and pink? Is it to allow a couple of choices as
to where the object is aligned? Just seems strange to me.

kind regards

Hi, Gareth -

*g* I know what you mean about the pink and blue lines - I gave up on them.
I use the snap-to ruler; zoom 400%; pull green guide lines on the
background.....and ignore the blue and pink.

Essentially, they are there for additional options for layouts. It was a
carry over from other DTP apps. However, they have have only ONE guide in
Publisher 2003 so that nobody is confused any longer :)

Apart from those wondering how to get the purple guide back again...
(It is not possible to get a purple guide around the page in Publisher 2003,
only at column and row boundaries)
