Line spacing

In a text box my spacing between lines is how I want it apart from 2 lines.
It has a wider spacing between 2 of them.

I have tried Format/ paragraph highlighted the lines concerned and set to
smaller spacing but this doesnt appear to change it.

how do I do this

Format, Paragraph, be certain the line spacing before and after is set at 0pt.
Turn on Special Characters (¶) to see if it tells you anything. If you are doing
a Enter after a line, you are starting a new paragraph. Try a shift+enter
instead.

I am having a similar problem & have been through the vast majority of
the suggestion posted on various forums. When I go back to work next,
I'll install the next service pack to cover my bases. The spacing in
the last paragraph of a newsletter made in a template looks fine on
the screen, spacings before & after are set to 0, I'm using
"shift>enter" etc. but when I print it out, the spacing on the last
paragraphs is 50% larger than the rest of the paragraph. Any ideas?
It's driving me, and more importantly, my boss, a little crazy! I'd
appreciate any help.

Are you using the text box incorporated in the newsletter
template? Might delete it and use you own drawn text box.

Thanks Mary,
I have created a variety of my own text boxes within this template,
and the spacing is an issue within them all.
I installed the latest security update on Friday, and that hasn't
helped either.

What version Publisher are you using? Copy the entire template, paste to a new
instance of Publisher. Make note of the color scheme, it will change to the
default. Does that help? Could be something in the coding of the template.

Hi Mary,
I'm using Publisher V 14.0.4760.1000 and Windows 7 - with that latest
updates installed.

It would be good to add that I was having the same issue today with
publications that I was making up from scratch, so it seems to be
beyond this particular template (Layers with Alpine colour scheme).
There does seem to be a little more success with the Shift+Enter
workaround if there is no template involved.

I will try and start from scratch and let you know how that goes.
