Link MSP 2003 projects stored on SharePoint 2003 site

I am trying to figure out how to create a Master MSP 2003 file comprised of a
handful of subprojects all stored on a SharePoint 2003 site.

When I create my Master file and attempt to insert the subprojects I, of
course, get errors about the http: file path to the project files on
SharePoint.

I read somewhere about being able to do the linking if you know the
SharePoint server name, but I haven't had any luck tracking that down.

Is there a known way to do this? Or is this a known issue that can't be done?

Thanks!

Thanks, Mike, but I really think this is an MSP question and not a server
question. We're not using MS Project Server.

Hi CJTyo,

I don't run Sharepoint here, but I do know (from working with clients
who use SP) that you cannot store consolidated projects on a Sharepoint
site. A quick search on google groups seems to indicate others having
the same problems you report. I don't see any work arounds posted.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

In that case, we'll have to await a server expert to answer as I don't have
a server :(
Sorry I can't help.

Hi CJTyo,

You're welcome and thanks for the feedback. Sorry to be the bearer of
what is most likely bad news. To confirm you may want to post to the
SharePoint newsgroup site - but I'm afraid the answer may be can't be
done.
