linking access database via html file

Hi all,
i would like to link database from access through html file(some kind
of a web site)
does anyone have easy example that i can start with?

If you mean link as in "create a link to an external table" then Access has to
be able to open the file to do that. You cannot do that over HTML or FTP. You
could create an ODBC link to a server database that exposes a port to the
internet, but you cannot link to an Access (Jet) database.

Examples of linking to a server database with ODBC? All you have ot do is
set up an ODBC DSN in Control Panel that points to the server and database
and then use File - Get External Data in your Access app. Choose ODBC as
the file type and then choose the DSN previously created. For an ODBC
connection there really is no difference between connection to a server on
the local network and one on the internet other than firewall issues might
come into play (and it will be slower).
