Linking Problems

Hi:
I am linking from a main Word document to bookmarks in other Word documents,
some of which are huge. The problem is this: when I return to the base
document from the bookmarked link, the second document does not close. What
can I do to close it automatically?

Hi Art,

It's really very difficult to offer any advice without seeing the VBA code
you're using, or at least having a better description how you're going about
this.

From the way I work, I can't see any reason whatsoever that you'd even be
opening and moving into these "source files". Why not simply use InsertFile?

Or are you talking about using Hyperlinks? In this case, you should perhaps be
asking in a non-programming group such as word.docmanagement.

And you MUST, in any case, mention which version of Word you have.
