Linking to an "untrusted site"

I have a database at a small client..Peer-to-peer Server
w/ 3 other PCs. Has been running since Aug 1998.

A new company made changes to the network there,
and now on 2 of the 3 Clients, I get an error message
when trying to link to the Back-end. By the way, the 3rd
PC links properly.

Here is the Error message - "Database" subbed for the
complete Database name.

Database cannot open this file.

The file is located outside your intranet or on an untrusted site. Database
will not open the file due to potential security problems.

To open the file, copy it to your machine or an accessible network location.

The person who replied has been littering the newsgroup with blank posts.
Have you checked Trusted Sites in Internet Explorer (or other security
settings there or in another browser)?

Thank you. I'm not a Registry person, but this has to be it.

The same problem occurred 2 years ago, and the Network Support company fixed
it for them quickly.

BruceM - No, I haven't checked, but it appears to be a Registry setting in
the Post below.

The option to change or "Unlock" a file that came from another computer, is
located in the Properties dialog box of the file.

Using the Windows Explorer, locate the file, right click and select
properties. Then look for the "Button", not a checkbox, that says "Unlock".
Click it. This will reset the file and you will be able to open it.
