Lost all email and need a way to recover...

I did a "detect and repair" because I had lost the "news"
in the "Go" menu and It was not in the customized buttons
anymore. So when I did the detect and repair, I lost all
email and contact information. Is there a way to recover
all the email and contacts?

Search your HD for a file with type .pst
