ran scanpst and the resulting feile had the error too.
That part isn't surprising, as it's scanning the same file, really. Was just
wondering you could open the actual file once, even though we know it has
errors.
I'm pretty sure that my data, as the file is > 250MB, but according
has 2 empty folders.
Outlook PST files are database files - like nearly any database file, they
keep 'whitespace' in them til compacted. So if you were to compact this file
I suspect you'd see it shrink waaaaay down in size. The file size doesn't
mean your data is there.
is there a more robust tool than scanpst?
Your file sounds like it's toast - no, I don't know of anything.
