Lost menu bar in Access 2003

I've somehow managed to lose my main menu bar. I can't click "tools" or
"file" or "help" because that's the tool bar that is now missing. I don't
recall making any changes that would affect this area, but my computer
updates automatically. So who knows?

If I close my "switchboard" form right away, then I can see the window to
select tables, querrys, etc. Since I've posted my original question, I tried
hitting the shift key when I open Access. That didn't solve the problem
either. I've now reinstalled Access (whether I needed to or not) & I still
don't have the menu bar that shows "file", "tools", etc. Also (the reason
this became a problem in the first place) is that each form used to display
as it's own window. So that when I was done with a particular form, I could
just close that form by clicking on the red x & go back to my switchboard.
That is no longer the case. I'm having to create macros & command buttons
for each & every form, page, report, etc. That will close that page & take me
back to where I need to go. It's a hassle for me, but none of the others in
the office are proficient in Access & they are having to completely close the
whole program & re-open it to get back to the switchboard. What's all the
more frustrating is that none of us can figure out what caused the change in
the first place!

ALL THA APPLICATIONS SHOWS THE SAME PROBLEM EVEN AFTER REINSTALLATION OF
ACCESS? Is this db on a shered drive since every one access it? If this
problem happens with all other mdb's on your machine after the reinstall then
I can't help you. if only hapens with that one, then you can try to create a
blenk db and export all from the original.

- Right click on any existing tool/menu bar
- select "Customize"
- On the Toolbars tab, make sure "MenuBar" is checked AND highlighted
- click "Reset"

That should bring back the full MenuBar, unless you are using a runtime
version (which it doesn't sound like) or the toolbars have been locked up
via startup settings or via startup code.
