Mail merge with prices

I have a post card set up in Publisher with mail merge using an Access
database. The table's field is set up as "currency" with only 2
decimal places. Yet, when I merge the price, it still shows up as
"$33.945" for example. Why is this?

This is because Publisher generally ignores all field formatting. If you
export your table as a CSV flat file, then Publisher should merge correctly.

It worked perfectly. Thanks.
