Man Power Loading Chart

I'm posting this question for my Estimating Manager; I have not worked with
Project personally. With that said, here is the question:

We have a client that wants a manpower chart submitted with our bid. The
format they provided shows the different categories of work (piping
fabrication/erection, structural steel, equipment setting, and grout) on the
row headers. On the column headers - the first column asks for total
man-hours, and the rest of the columns asks for the amount of people that
will be working on each category during week 1, week 2, etc.

My manager used the schedule that he had created, and rolled up the task
details to match the row headers the client requested. Then he made it so
that the columns show the total hours for each row per week - which is close
to what we need but not quite it. He can't figure out how to change the
weekly totals from hours to people. Is there a way to have Project do this?

It seems like it should be able to, as all the necessary information is in
the schedule. Otherwise, I figure I could divide the total hours per week by
the amount of hours each person would be working to get the numbers and
create a spreadsheet in excel. (500 m/h divided by 50 hours per person = 10
people)

Hopefully that made sense, thank you for your time :)

Hi,

Try the folowing.
In the usage view show percent allocation (Format, Detail Styles, select
Percent Allocation, Show)
then Tools, Options, Schedule, show assignment units as decimal.
