I've found that I can insert Mathtype objects
(http://www.mathtype.com/en/products/mathtype/) into OneNote pages and they
display just fine. They actually seem to be inserting as objects and not
images because they scale properly (i.e., the text is not distorted).
However, there is no option for editting these objects once they are
inserted.
It would be extremely useful if I could edit them, the same way Word makes
possible. This is a generic OLE operation and not specific to Mathtype; I'd
simply need to be able to call the edit method on the object. Is there any
chance of this getting incorporated into OneNote??? It would be invaluable
for the scientifically-minded among us and would open up OneNote to lots of
other typesetting/display packages.
