Message gets deleted out of nowhere

I press send/receive and the message shows up as new. after im done reading
and close the message it gets permanently deleted and nowhere to be found,
this only happens for one account.

Make sure your View is set to Messages and not Unread Messages.

of course, i am in the normal view looking at the folder no unread filters
