Milestone as predecessor and start date problem

Here's the scenario:

Milestone is task 100 - ends Oct. 28
Task 123 is a subtask of 122
Task 123 has Milestone 100 as predecessor, FS Type, lag time 0

Why doesn't the date for task 123 start after the milestone?
If I outdent task 123 to same level as the milestone, the start date is
correct as 10/31
If I leave it as a subtask of 122, it uses task 122 end date.

Hi Laralea ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

I can't reproduce this effect - on my PC it does as it should. Have you got
any other links driving the start date? Have you entered any Constraints?

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
