missing row numbers and changed "task" column header

N

Naomi

Hi all,

In fooling around with my enterprise gannt chart, I somehow eliminated the
row numbers in the gray bar to the left.

The other problem is that I noticed that somehow the task column name had
been renamed "Name" where it used to be "Task Name". I couldn't figure out
how to get the former column back; "task name" is not available as a field.

Thanks!

Hi Naomi,

I do not use Project Server, so there may be a bit more you need to do
to modify Enterprise Gantt (I believe you must be able to check it out.)
So if you need assistance with modifying the Enterprise Gantt View, I
suggest posting to the Project Server newsgroup.

That being said, it sounds as though you have played with the Table
applied to the Gantt chart.

Go to View > Tables > More tables to Open the More Tables dialog box. I
assume the Entry table is the one selected in the dialog box. Click the
Edit button.

In the Table definition dialog box, click the first row and click the
Insert Row button to insert a new, blank row. Select ID from the Field
Name drop down. The standard data is:
Align Data = Center
Width = 6
Title = blank
Align Title = Center
Heading Wrapping = Yes

To add the title "Task Name" simply type the title in the title column
for the Name field.

Click (enable) Lock First Column checkbox to lock the ID column in the
table.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Naomi,

In which table are you? Check in the View / Table menu.
May be you are using a table which has been modified.
To modify a table:
- View / Table / More Tables...
- Select the table you want
- Click the Edit button
- To get the row number : insert the ID field on the first place, then
click the Lock first column box (so that the row numbers will alsways stay
visible on the left side)
There is no Task name column: you use the Name column, but you can change
its Title as you want : Task Name or something else

Hope this helps,

Gérard Ducouret
