Moving Layout Guides

Hi, I'm using a Publisher 2003 book (the "Exploring Series" by Prentice Hall)
and it says to _HOLD DOWN SHIFT_ to move the layout guides. I don't
understand why you need to hold down SHIFT - or - what holding down SHIFT
does differently, since I can just use the Adjust pointer to drag the guide
where I want it to be. (My supposition is that this was something you may
have had to do in earlier versions of Publisher, but since my software and
the book are both 2003, the statement is a little confusing.)

Holding shift will move the ruler. Don't believe everything you read. In earlier
versions of Publisher you did have to press shift to create a guide.

I believe that your supposition would be right, and the book author was
either wrong or confused.
