MPP files

Greetings all.....My company has installed Project2003 for me at work and I
have purchased the step by step book/CD to help me get started, however, my
home computer, although it exceeds the system requirements, won't handle MPP
files on the CD tutorial. I've tried opening with different programs, but
message is that tje file type is either corrupted or not supported. Is there
a patch or a download for MPP? Any suggestions?

You will need Project Professional 2003 or 2002 on your home computer
to open MPP files.

Hi RJS and Babar,

Just to clarify. Project Professional is not required -- Project Standard
will do. It will need to be installed on all machines (home and work) to be
able to read the Project (MPP) files.

Additional clarificiation. The Project Step-by-Step book has the trial
version of MS Project on its CD. You can install it on one computer only
and it will be valid for I think it is 90 days before shutting down. You
can install that on your home computer and use it to work through the mpp
files for the book.
