MS Project Timesheets with PeopleSoft Integration

In 2004, we are going to use Peoplesoft to report our time. What are the options to capture our time in one place while updating the MS Project Actuals and Peoplesoft?

Thank you.

This can only happen if PeopleSoft can import the Unique Task, Assignment
and Resource ID's and then update either Project .MPP files, or a database
your projects are stored in.

You can try using task names and resource names, but if anyone changes
either during the week, the task or resource won't get found and updated.

I would ask for a PeopleSoft demo, then more than likely you will need a
separate time sheet for Project work. Peoplesoft and SAP etc tend to only
work at Project level whilst you need assignment level entry of time sheet
data.

You can use a good project time sheet then roll-up times to the level needed
by PeopleSoft, but rarely can you go down in detail.

Ludo:

In order to do this, the Peoplesoft time capture system would need to be
modeled at the task level, which is almost never the case. It's easier to
integrate the other way around where you can rollup the detailed information
in Project into the high-level buckets your company will define in
Peoplesoft.
