New Bar Styles

How do I create a bar styles an item that isn't already listed? For example
I added a column Duration 1. How do I give that a bar style?
I also see, for example, Progess in Bar Styles is related to Actual
Duration, it seems already programmed but how do you customize that; how does
MSP know Progress is for Actual Duration?

Actual Duration / Duration is the definition for % complete as Actual
Work/Work is the definition for % Work Complete.

To create a new bar, select Format Bar Styles then create your bar.
Duration1 doesn't mean anything on its own so use the Start or Start1to 10
and Finish or Finish1-10 or relevant Baseline Start and finish to define
from and to dates.
