"New Message" widow opens minimized

Using Outlook 2000/Windows 98:
When I click the "New Message" button on the OL2000 toolbar, the compose
screen comes up minimized in the top left hand corner of the screen. How
can I get it to appear maximized.

MS Word is set as the email editor.
